I recently came across another term originated from Swedish: lagom. The ability to find a happiness with what we have, the realisation of what is trully sufficient for us to live harmoniously with others and with nature.

Arika: Lagom is a great word! It means not too much and not too little. but just right. It is a Goldilocks kind of attitude that Swedes live by and use in every situation. (The temperature is lagom, the amount of people at the beach was lagom etc.) If you, as a Swede, manage to live, and appreciate a lagom life, you are one to be admired.

I clicked the Poul Henningsen pendant light photograph; the subsequent pictorial essay was stunning; it was great to see Nordic design with a bit of real color. White is lovely, but the limited palette of whites, blacks and greys that predominates those regions is often tedious and lifeless. Viva Norway infused with Miami. Excellent.
