I live in a copy of the Esherick House built outside of Pittsburgh, PA. It was built in 1962 by a local builder and fan of Kahn. Unfortunately, I don't know his name. There are modifications-we have three bedrooms-but the house is full of light and inspires me daily. We have been here for three years and need to work on the exterior. I am considering cedar cladding and am glad to see it used on kahn's other residences.

These are a few pictures of our "knock off" Esherick House near Pittsburgh. I didn't know of Kahn when I fell in love with the house. The previous owner filled me in. Years ago there was a brief study to see if it might be an unknown Kahn house. Nope. I'm sure it didn't take long to determine given the building materials. These are from the real estate listing. We've landscaped that overgrown front, but theT window is my favorite feature. I'm a home builder's daughter and feel lucky to get this close to living in a Kahn design.
