A very helpful article, beautifully illustrated. It is also lovely to have an author who takes part in the feedback with helpful suggestions. I think more authors should take part in what is essentially an excellent market place for their skills but I am quite sure that this was not the primary motive in this case.

This is a great article, which I've only just discovered - thanks, Claudia. You do touch on pruning above, but I'd love an article concentrating on how to prune and cut back, covering a variety of herbaceous perennials as well as shrubs (maybe an article for each).
