Quality pays in the end, our own bathrooms were refitted over 12 years ago and we used good quality items, they are still in good working order. On the other hand we fitted new bathrooms in two houses we rent out nothing like as long ago, using diy "bog standard" fittings, the "chrome" is peeling the ladder radiators are going rusty, really they could do with being redone already, the plumbers charge just as much to fit quality as the cheap stuff, so fit the best you can afford, if you want to save, buy cheaper tiles and vinyl flooring.

Definitely check the colour/texture of any furnishings/tiles/wooden flooring in real life if you can! We photograph our tiles for the website, and getting an accurate representation of the actual colour is really, really difficult, and often doesnt convey any texture!

Frustrated yet again that the only storage shown are drawers under top-mounted sinks where the plumbing will take up most of the top drawer. Do people not have facewash, teeth cleaning products, shaving gel and razors, contact lens solution? And they're the basics! I can't even see storage in the largest bathroom shown (black and white tiled floor). Houzz - article needed on bathroom storage please that's not just mirrored units on the walls. We have limited space and dodgy walls.
