We would love to have a loft conversion but unfortunately financially we are unable to do so. We certainly would welcome having the space which is quite a large space, we do have planning permission for Lawful Development for a one Bedroom Dormer Conversions which is no longer going to be happening funds needs to be diverted changes in circumstances. Need some desperate help advice, and ideas regarding the way forward. We live in the south east any suggestions from anyone who also was in a similar situation would be most welcome. Before l submit any recommendations would be more than welcome.

Thank you all.

With regard to point 3 ... please factor in booking your 3D drawings well in advance, most of us concept planners are often booked up a few weeks ahead!

Lots of good advice. I used a company - Create-Room, who are members on here, to carry out my conversion and it was completed in five weeks - three velux rooflights, flat roof dormer and ensuite, ready for me to decorate. I used the builder's architect for plans and an independent building inspector familiar with their work which all helped smooth the process. The more loft experience a company has the less chance of delays as they try to overcome any problems.
