On the Benjamin Moore website for each color review there is an option to see "Shades". Is that the way to tell the color's undertones? For example, with White Down (OC-131), the shades are mostly greens. Does that mean White Down has green undertones? I'm finding it really hard to understand how to interpret the information for each color.

LS White Down has no green. It's a true neutral. Even for me, as a professional color consultant, it's difficult to look at the 100+ whites in the deck. Most of them are pulled from an older collection, so you can sometimes see where they come from (like simply white (olive green) or chantilly lace (gray with a hint of violet). I'd stay away from the white section all together, and use the top of the strips, or go with the 3 tried and true whites (IMO), super white, white dove, and white down (from clean to dirty).

LS, don't try and read the undertone from a monitor. Different monitors display colors differently. Get a paint sample from BM, place it on top of a white sheet of paper then attempt read the undertone.
