But also, @Katherine, like you I am rather short at 5’ 4” and I have stools in my kitchen, my bathroom, and every closet in our home. Your step stool garage is lovely!

Dual Designs

Hi @kosteri, like most difficult design challenges, a good bespoke company would be able to advise. Regarding the sloping ceilings (without seeing pictures) you may still be able to fit angled cabinets.

Not quite the right example, but this image will hopefully give you the right idea.

Claire -- the ceilings in my 70s house are only 8 ft, so my wall cabinets are also 42". I do agree with you about taking care with step stools. I actively work on my balance by doing tai chi. Everyone should do some kind of balance work. Thanks for your concern -- for us all!
