Love, love love wallpaper!!
I’m embarking on three interconnecting rooms - bedroom,
dressing room and bathroom. I'm using the same wallpaper but different colour
ways. So bathroom will be Laura Ashley Josette in Dove Grey; white suite, cupboards
and accessories, white floor (limed wood effect) and painted dark grey (also
LA) accent on one wall. But I have fuchsia pink towels for accent!
Dressing room will be the pale pink version of the same
wallpaper, white cupboards; bedroom is the dramatic grape colour way on one
wall with grape curtains, pale lilac bed linen, aple grape throw (and lots of toning grape/lilac cushions) then dove grey on the remaining walls.
Once done (Christmas maybe?), I will post to the site.
I’m very excited about how the 3 rooms will flow and tone as well as compliment
each other.
I learned this trick while renting: I find a lightweight fabric that I love, cut into sections and dip them into liquid starch. Apply to the wall. Hold in place with tacks until the starch dries. The fabric stays on the walls great. I do this a lot on the back of bookshelves and cabinets. The fabric peels right off when I'm done with it. Not sure it would hold up in a bathroom.
