Do consider having professional photos taken. I have gone that route with 2 houses & a great photographer. I have spent about €900 total, but worth every penny. My estate agent is very motivated as well. I have no doubt that without agent and photographer input (and my design) a great house in a not popular location would still be languishing on the market....... well, fingers crossed as we are about to exchange. My neighbours also have 4 bed-house for sale. Mine was marketed at € 175K more than theirs! Talk about smashing the ceiling price. Theirs remains unsold after 8 months.

If you look at any of the property websites, what quality of photography do you see? For me, the house is the house, you can tweak, de-clutter, stage and style all you like, but the photos also need to be good.

This was my first experience of interiors photography. Extremely interesting also to have a shoot done aimed at interiors magazines. Quite a different result - the right one in my view. The staging "for sale" was very uncluttered in stark contrast to the other one. When you consider how small many pictures are on property websites, then minimum of everything seems to be well-advised. Wonder what others think?
