Ivan & Helen's Airy and Eclectic Kitchen

Eclectic Kitchen, Belfast

Ivan and Helen’s home is a stunning example of their inimitable style, full of unique pieces that they have collected over the years. Their kitchen is a bright and open room with traditional-inspired cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball’s Manor House Gray and accents of Blackthorn’s own Doran Red on key features such as the larder. The Doran Red wash stands out starkly against the cool neutral tones of Manor House Gray and brings out the deep oxblood found in Helen and Ivan’s range, the iridescent ruby of their quirky stained glass window, and the rich burgundy of their antique decorative tray whose warm tones provided the initial inspiration for the red accents. Ivan and Helen came to us with a vision of a kitchen that was particular to them, that reflected their style and suited their lifestyle. Through consultations and design meetings, together we created a singular kitchen that matched their original vision and even included a few unexpected additions that Helen and Ivan were delighted to include in their finished units.
