JT Classic in Corian | Jack Trench Bespoke Kitchens

Contemporary Kitchen, London

The Jack Trench Corian Classic emerged from our appreciation of DuPont™ Corian® as a versatile, hardwearing and pure solid surface material. Typically used for worktops and side paneling, we developed an entirely new technique of applying Corian to kitchen joinery, cladding doors, drawer fronts and other external cabinetry. During the design development process we also added a solid timber handle detail; perfectly integrated within the Glacier White Corian fascia, the handle introduces a subtle band of soft wood tones to an otherwise crisp and contemporary white kitchen. The evolution of our Corian Classic was driven by the desire to find a superior alternative to spray lacquering using polyurethane paint, a finish commonly used by other kitchen manufacturers. We found that in comparison to a spray lacquered finish, Corian’s durability and high level of resistance to everyday use simply cannot be matched. Researched, tested and refined over several years, the Corian Classic style has featured in numerous Jack Trench kitchen projects and become one of our definitive signature designs. The typical cost of a Corian Classic bespoke kitchen is between £40,000 and £80,000 (ex-VAT), depending on size, layout and specifications. Our overall cost covers design, manufacture and installation as well as worktops, appliances and aftercare. Materials: DuPont™ Corian®, Glacier White Timber options include: American white oak, American black walnut and European cherry Design variation: Corian-clad birch plywood with a birch plywood scoop reveal finger-pull detail
