The clients wanted their small garden in central London to provide a relaxing living and entertaining space. Acrylic walling, precision-laid York stone paving and an intriguing and highly effective installation of glass screens with images of trees that give depth to the space are all enhanced by minimal yet effective soft planting. A beautiful existing magnolia tree has been retained as a central feature providing welcome shade from the summer sun. With the only access to the garden being through the house no heavy machinery was permitted and all stone had to be cut to shape off site. This logistically challenging project has been executed to an extremely high standard, to the delight of the clients.
