A hidden entrance leads to Philip’s contemporary man cave, a contrasting retreat that looks out over the serene lake and stables. Inspiration for a nautical bedroom in Devon with beige walls, carpet and grey floors.

In this room the client wanted a boutique hotel look and feel with bags of colour. I created a colour scheme from the wallpaper we chose to tie the room together using different shades of pink and maroon and there isn’t a shade of white in sight. We kept the existing furniture and came up with a new lighting plan taking away the ‘big light’ (which wasn’t being used) and opted for pendants with individual switches to add a bit of luxury.

The primary bedroom features a calm contemporary design, layered with gentle geometric pattern and softly contrasting green-blue accents. A warm neutral palette sets the tone, while the bespoke green fluted headboard creates a clean, modern backdrop that extends beyond the bed frame providing soft textural interest behind each of the bedside tables.

This bedroom, part of the New England & Cape Cod–inspired home by Studio212 Ltd, has been conceived as a calm and elegant retreat. A bespoke timber slatted headboard wall with integrated LED lighting creates a warm architectural feature, framing the upholstered bed. On either side, pendant lamps from Heals provide ambient glow and balance. To the left, a bespoke floating dressing table/desk with mirror is paired with a King Living chair, adding both practicality and refined texture. Soft cushions and a wool throw in shades of green layer subtle contrast against the crisp quilted bedspread, while a pale carpet grounds the scheme in comfort and calm.

The bedroom is kept deliberately calm and pared back, with soft daylight filtering through to the en-suite beyond. A glazed opening draws light deep into the plan, while the restrained palette and gentle furnishings create a space that feels quiet, restful and unforced — a place to slow down at the end of the day.

A cosy an inviting master bedroom, flooded with natural light. A beautiful bay window frames the freestanding bath and has a spa like feel. One wall features a beautiful Arte wall mural which was the starting point for the design in this bedroom.
