This condo was designed for a great client: a young professional male with modern and unfussy sensibilities. The goal was to create a space that represented this by using clean lines and blending natural and industrial tones and materials. Great care was taken to be sure that interest was created through a balance of high contrast and simplicity. This home, built in 2017, features a professional yoga studio where the owner, a longtime yoga teacher, holds classes. The studio features a custom yoga wall, tressle, a prop for completing passive backbends, space for up to 6 students, and access to the patio outside giving the option to move class outdoors when desired. The studio is built with infrared heat to get the temperature up quickly without affecting the rest of the home and low impact cushioned flooring. The design allows for natural light with privacy from the high windows in the space.
