Try some tartanThe linear pattern of tartan makes it an ideal fit for a runner – its lines lead the eye up the stairs. Choose a design in soft, nature-inspired tones for a warm effect.

Head upstairsThe linear design of a tartan pattern makes it ideal as a stair runner, its up and down lines leading your eye, and you, along. Teamed with white-painted stairs, it’s a smart look.

100% having a tartan carpet on the stairs, if we have stairs!

I love the look of plaid carpeting on these stair-steps. Possibly I would need to be careful about where I used any pattern if I have visually impaired guests. Seeing these steps would be a joy!.
