The back garden presented some unique challenges due to its significant level differences. Limited access made the space nearly unusable for our clients. The original hardscaped terracing needed significant updating and rebuilding due to partial collapse. We were tasked with adding functional seating, installing a water feature, and developing a safe way to access the bottom part of the garden. Learn how we were able to access all three levels of the serenity garden:
The area was divided into two terraces on different levels to avoid an overwhelming 'bunker-like' impression.
Our team completely removed the old structures and installed new retaining walls that have been built from gabion stone baskets.
We installed stainless-steel water shelves extending from chevron-patterned Siberian larch decorative screening.
A daily-use patio of porcelain slabs was installed to create a large dining area at the top terrace. A darker shade of slabs creates a line cutting through the whole area, creating a visual axis ending at the water feature.
The middle terrace is more like a chill-out zone with a custom floating bench and additional mobile seats that you put on top of the gabion wall, making it ideal for more sheltered, private gatherings.
Stairs from the middle terrace lead to the bottom garden, contrasting the highly developed upper garden. The bottom garden is a wilderness haven with extensive planting and a decent-sized frog pond. The new upper garden can be considered an observation point situated on the edge of the wilderness.

This London garden project represents one of our most dramatic transformations to date. The original site was heavily overgrown and complicated by a WWII bunker and multiple layers of concrete beneath the surface.
We completely reimagined and rebuilt the garden, overcoming significant structural challenges to create a refined, functional, and elegant outdoor space. The design features bespoke planting, clean modern lines, and tailored landscaping that bring both beauty and practicality to the garden.
The result is a serene outdoor retreat, perfect for relaxation and entertaining, and a true showcase of how thoughtful, bespoke garden design can transform even the most challenging sites.

A compact terraced garden in Bishop’s Stortford designed to create flow, structure and usable space. Defined areas, a strong focal point and layered planting help the garden feel calm, private and more spacious than its footprint.

This beautifully re-imagined garden transforms an open, overlooked space into a sophisticated and secluded outdoor retreat, designed for relaxation, dining and year-round enjoyment. From the kitchen door, the lower terrace catches the morning sun and immediately sets the tone: calm, refined and welcoming. Slim cedar trellis panels and a large outdoor mirror framed by lantern-style lights help define this intimate zone. Three sculptural stone planters hold soft grasses, while comfortable seating encourages lingering and quiet morning moments.

Garden Fountain with Seamless Views into Kitchen & Dining
Description:
From the garden designed by Victoria Truman Garden Design, this view captures the essence of the New England & Cape Cod–inspired home by Studio212 Ltd — a seamless flow between landscape and architecture.
In the foreground, a bespoke stone water feature sits within layered planting of ornamental grasses and perennials, adding texture, movement, and the calming sound of water. Beyond, a 6m sliding glass door fully opens the living and dining areas to the garden, while a 4m kitchen serving window transforms into an outdoor bar counter — making entertaining effortless.
Together, the fountain, garden, and open-plan interiors demonstrate a lifestyle built around connection, relaxation, and year-round enjoyment of the outdoors.

Located at Mossy Point is a garden sanctuary tailored to family-friendly entertaining and relaxation. With a focus on seamlessly expanding the home’s entertainment space, this project brings together natural materials and thoughtful landscaping to create an inviting outdoor retreat. Designed to reflect the client’s lifestyle, the garden now features a lounge area, a pool with sun lounges, a cozy fire pit, and a generous lawn for children to play. Our team balanced durability with elegance by emphasising stone and concrete elements, complemented by a lush mix of native and tropical plantings to cultivate a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

The back garden for an innovative property in Fulham Cemetery - the house featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs in January 2021. The design had to enhance the relationship with the bold, contemporary architecture and open up a dialogue with the wild green space beyond its boundaries. Seen here in spring, this lush space is an immersive journey through a woodland edge planting scheme.

This contemporary kitchen garden has been designed to combine productivity with strong visual structure. Corten steel raised beds define the space, introducing warmth and clean lines while providing ideal conditions for growing herbs, salads and seasonal produce.
Set within a gravel courtyard, the layout feels both practical and refined, offering ease of movement while maintaining a calm, cohesive aesthetic. The contrast between the rich tones of the corten steel and the softness of the surrounding planting creates a balanced and inviting garden environment.
The design demonstrates how a kitchen garden can be elevated beyond functionality, becoming an integral and beautifully considered part of the wider landscape.
