What Houzz contributors are saying:
The perfect pantryQuite a few readers expressed their longing for a lovely food storage arrangement like this pleasing kitchen pantry. It’s hard to pinpoint what makes a pantry arrangement so much more enticing than plain old piling your kitchen bits and pieces into wall cupboards or units, but I suspect it’s something to do with the seductive sense of order you’d get upon opening the doors to see everything neatly arranged and easy to find – and all in one place. And this cubbyholed, adjustable design, with roomy linen drawers and a gorgeous grey paint job, is a particularly fine specimen to get our practical hearts racing, don’t you think?
Try a mix-and-match kitchen There is something incredibly charming about the unfitted kitchen and, historically, country kitchens were made up of separate pieces of furniture, such as a washstand, linen press, chunky range cooker and pantry cupboard. Putting together a complete kitchen of freestanding pieces can be tricky to achieve and generally needs a big space. But you can still create the same bespoke, laid-back ambience by punctuating a built-in design with a standalone larder unit or Welsh dresser painted in a contrasting shade.
