This is an example of a modern home in London.

Hammersmith

Modern, London

A mezzanine floor was inserted during the project, initially as a storage area but then to be a chill-out area. This meant that a balustrade and fail-safe access gate needed to be included, but something that had little visual impact , yet was structurally strong enough to prevent falls. We designed and built this from slim stainless steel sections, welded to match the shape of the roof, and with a self-closing gate that had the strength of a balustrade and was wide enough to get an armchair through.
