Fill it with happy memoriesDisplay things around your home that remind you of friends, family and places that you’ve visited. Put travel souvenirs where you can see them, to remind you of experiences, and to perhaps prompt you to make new plans. We all have hundreds of photos on our digital equipment nowadays, but we often forget to print them out. Put an evening aside to sort through them all, get a selection printed and plan a creative way to display them. The bright photo-collage on the back wall of this kitchen has really brought the room to life.

Be snap happyCreate your own art wall by printing out some of your favourite photos on ordinary copy paper. Arrange as you’d like them to appear on the wall – possibly pencilling out a grid on the wall if you have a large expanse like the one in this kitchen. When you’re ready to stick your photos up, use SprayMount adhesive, which allows you to reposition them for up to 12 hours. Or, for a stronger fix, use PhotoMount, though this doesn’t allow repositioning. This look works really well in family rooms, as with this display next to a kitchen table.Alternatively, there are companies that can turn your photos into wallpaper. Get those digital images off your tech and into the world!

Cherish your memoriesDo you have a lot of old photos and prints lying around? Hang as many as you can on your walls. Sort through piles of old family photos, print out the new ones, grab your children’s artwork and get hanging. For a more cohesive look, choose your pics and buy the same style frames but in different sizes to hold them. Command strips are a quick way to hang photos and they make it easy to reposition pictures if you change your mind or you rent your home.TELL US…Do you have any tips for creating order without throwing everything away?
