What Houzz contributors are saying:
1 Rock a bed blanketPretty up with patchwork… An old-school patchwork quilt sums up the folk sensibility – it’s humble, handmade, has a sense of personal history and is bursting with colour. Ideally, raid your granny’s attic for an original – or make one yourself. Look for cheap offcuts at your friendly local haberdashers, or recycle much-loved kids’ clothing into a ‘memory blanket’.
Plan for successIs one large cupboard, ‘Linen Central’, the repository for the whole household’s bed, bath and table linen? This works well in a compact house, but means trekking back and forth in a spacious one. Multiple linen stations might be a better solution for your household. Consider storing items close to where they are used: towels in or near bathrooms, bed linen convenient to bedrooms, table linen in the dining area. Size up available storage and work out your strategy.
