Kids Bedrooms can be fun. This preteen bedroom design was create for a young girl in need o her own bedroom. Having shared bedrooms with hr younger sister it was time Abby had her own room! Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson took the box shaped room and added a much needed closet by using Ikea's PAX wardrobe system which flanked either side of the window. This provided the perfect spot to add a simple bench seat below the window creating a delightful window seat for young Abby to curl up and enjoy a great book or text a friend. Robeson's artful use of bright wall colors mixed with PB teen bedding makes for a fun exhilarating first impression when walking into Abby's room! Eminent Interior Design
Inspired by the homeowners art, designer Brandi Hagen of Eminent Interior Design softened the tones and painted the walls a pale green. Contrasting finishes of the stained bed and the painted desk and bedside table create a balance in this stunning Master Bedroom.

A freshman in college wanted a more "age appropriate" bedroom at home. She picked the "vibrant green" paint color and we did the rest. The NYC skyline pillow shams are a nod to her love of New York; and the funky Muchas Gracias wall plates are a fun way to incorporate her bi-lingual capabilities! We call it "Boho Chic"! She calls it AMAZING!

European Kitchen Design
The client knew that it was about time to get a new kitchen and replace it with the original kitchen that came with the house. However, she had already bar stools in the lime mint green color, it she wanted to implement this color into the color scheme of the new kitchen design. With the ability of Alno to provide NCS colors to their collection of the smooth lacquer door style, we had created a nice balance combination between the lime mint green color and a nice arctic white color. This amazing combination of colors gave immediately a fresh clean feeling to this well designed kitchen layout.
Door Style Finish: Alno Fine, smooth lacquer door style, in the white and green lime mint colors finish.

Design Connection, Inc.
The last child was off to college and our clients were empty nesters. Their son announced he was not coming home to live again. His room was the largest of the children’s bedrooms and would make a wonderful guest room. The decision was a hard one, but the clients decided to move forward.
New furniture, lamps, bedding and accessories were selected with a theme of black, lime green and white. The room had only been painted the year before and the new bedding reflected the original wall color. Our clients selected a new mattress and we provided bedding that was comfy and felt luxurious. The husband requested that his photography be placed throughout the room. Mission accomplished. The lamps were purchased from a source not found in the Kansas City Area.
The bathroom received new wallpaper, black granite, faucets, toilet and beautiful accessories and a unique mirror.
Their son will certainly be surprised upon his next visit home!
The new furnishings were planned to travel over to their new home when they decide to downsize.
Design Connection Inc provided furniture, bedding, lamps, accessories, plumbing fixtures, wallpaper and installation.

The interior design components that make this bedroom work so well: custom window treatments, creative wall treatment, and the right bedding combined with a stylish area rug.
I've been asked several times about the paint colors in this room...
I always advise people that they should not start with the paint colors when decorating a room, because it's much more difficult to match other decorating elements to paint colors such as fabrics, artwork and area rugs. Where as paint colors can be matched to anything. The paint colors can also look different in a room depending on lighting, both natural and electric. Photos can be great starting points for deciding the color scheme that appeals to you, however, photographs typically don't depict the actual paint colors. Consequently, it is dangerous to say you want the exact paint colors that you see in a photo. What else are you putting in the room that has green in it? Artwork, area rugs and fabrics are great starting points for matching up paint colors, and you definitely want to have a design plan before you start painting color.

A monochromatic soothing color creates a sanctuary away from the hustle-bustle of the city. All custom designed. A sofit was built to house indirect lighting and "an invisible door" (which looks part of the wall) leads to "a sex in the city" closet. This room is on over 2K ideabooks and got us the "2012 Best Of" award.
