This view was taken not long after the pool was completed you can see that there is an inner swimming area that is 1.2 -2m deep. No plants are grown here and it is separated by an internal wall from the outer regeneration zone, which consists of gravel and filter medium and plants. The plants are specially chosen for their ability to draw impurities from the water and included small bullrushes, Equisetum hyemale, cyperus longus and Ranunculus lingua 'Grandiflorus'.
