Large spaces can be made cozy and useful. This room has two areas that can work independently or as one large area. Handsome wide stripes adorn two swivel chairs that can face any direction. Carrying the stripe on to another contemporary wing chair on the other side of the room unifies the area. Note the fan coral motif on the other two chairs (also swivels) that subtly speaks of the coastal Hilton Head Island area. It's an example of monochromatic design with touches of deep tones and green to create interest and depth. Wood tones combined with painted furniture further the variations and interest in this large area. High ceilings and over sized windows seem more in scale accomplished by using simple but dramatic custom window treatment and a large but fine boned chandelier.
