Rectory House Extension

Traditional Entrance, Sussex

A generous new porch provides an appropriate transition space between the courtyard and main entrance hall of an old rectory. The bath stone arch is designed to reflect the form and proportions of the original entrance door frame, and aligned on axis with it; subtly tying these elements together. Local craftsmen did a fantastic job working with traditional materials that complement the existing building and will stand the test of time. Photography by Andy Scott
