The media room was brought into the 21st century with a state-of-the-art home theatre and sound system and new furnishings. This room also comes with a rainbow choice of colored light options. The lighting, sound and HVAC system in this smart home can be controlled with the swipe of a finger on a tablet or phone.

Media room cabinetry: View from hall. Open display shelves both help delineate the media room from the hall, but also allow both to be open to each other, creating a balance between openness and enclosure. Bookshelves below the open shelves use the available space well, and help distinguish the hallway as more than just a walk through space.

A 1958 Bungalow that had been left for ruin—the perfect project for me and my husband. We updated only what was needed while revitalizing many of the home's mid-century elements.

WDA designed the interior remodel and exterior renovation for this house in the hills above Los Gatos. The exterior work included an update to the Mediterranean detailing, as well as installation of all new French doors and windows, and the addition of custom metal railings on the wraparound decks, to take full advantage of the panoramic views. The interior features a new kitchen, family room and home theater, and new finishes throughout the house, which combine sleek modern design with rich, warm materials, and our clients’ sense of fun and whimsy.
