Sandhurst Road
Contemporary Bedroom, London
Due to an expanding family, whilst not wanting to move, a loft conversion was a practical way to get the much needed extra space in this cosy mid-terraced home. With an overall width of just 4.2 metres, the best way to accommodate a new large and well proportioned bedroom, as well as a new communally accessible bathroom, was with an ‘L-shaped’ loft conversion. In order to get the bathroom that was considered worth investing in, the overall volume of the loft extension exceeded the allowance under permitted development, and so a simple householder planning application has been required.
