Can we match it somewhat to the arch over the range?

Want to point out fireplace as well as a few other items. Over all design a little too traditional / cabin feel

The finish is not paint but "red top" plaster with a touch of tint to match the old structolite plaster finishes that are typical in Santa Fe. Yes, we seal all our plaster with Oakon sealers- you can get these products in different finishes but we usually use the satin finish. We put three coats of sealer around the light switches, fireplaces and any other areas that get extra hand prints
