Transitional Living Room, Calgary

Without any Southwest windows this room can appear very dark; the unexpected bright blue adds energy throughout the day. The wall mounted TV unit, contemporary artwork, ripple fold draperies and tall floor lamps accentuate the height in this narrow space. The mix of pattern, colour and texture in surface materials adds interest to the room: high gloss media unit, round mirrored side tables, knitted yellow toss cushion, multicoloured area rug, clear glass coffee table, turquoise swivel chair, geometric patterned sheer and textured draperies. This living space is simple in design yet provides all the elements needed for comfort and relaxation with friends and family.
