As much as we adore solid timber, we admit that sometimes an upholstered bed is a refreshing alternative, and not simply the headboard, but the base too. So we made the Francis. Its sleek profile means it sits quietly beneath the mattress with tall legs that denote elegance. Attractive enough to stand without a headboard, just use plump square pillows and you're done.
