The client wanted us to design a much warmer space for this north-facing room as it always felt so cold. Their inspiration for this room was the sea. We took this piece of art from their hallways and layered the finished look from there. We replaced the radiator and put warm wood slats on the ceilng to make a more cocooned effect which matches the mid-century side tables that we sourced for them. The basketry, wool rug and linen faded fabric on the blinds give it a relaxed feel but, for sure, the stunning centre piece is the blue velvet chaise sofa. So soft and incredibly comfortable. The TV is incorporated into the bespoke shelving unit we designed, creating a showcase for books and nik naks, whilst providing great discreet storage.
