Sustainable Warehouse Conversion
Modern Entrance, Atlanta
Two adjacent warehouse units in a circa 1915 building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, were combined into a single modern live / work space. Careful consideration was paid to honoring and preserving original elements like exposed brick walls, timber beams and columns, hardwood and concrete floors and plaster walls.
All materials used for custom furnishings, lighting and the space itself were chosen for their conformity to strict sustainable guidelines, providing both playful and environmentally friendly elements.
The project received numerous awards, including the Atlanta Downtown Design Excellence Award and Finalist in the Spark International Design Awards.
