@oly592: Thank you for your interest in Crittall products. Without knowing the extent of the project scope it hard to give a definitive answer. However, generically - steel will "usually" be more expensive than aluminium depending on which aluminium system you are considering. That said, you get what you pay for. The steel windows would offer the most slender sightlines possible, with less metal on view and more glass to see through. The corners will be welded and continuous, and the whole finished assembly will be "elegant" in comparison. The lifespan of hot dipped galvanized and polyester powder coated steel means the extended longevity comes into the equation as well. Budget vs. design intent is always the conundrum with these types of projects. Hope that helps a little. regards, Darren Joyce / Crittall Windows.

How to use themBefore you choose metal windows, consider whether they will work with the style of your property. ‘Many people fall into a trap when it comes to choosing replacement windows, which can significantly change the look of a house,’ warns John. ‘It’s important that the windows chosen match the style of the home. If your home has always had timber frames, steel frames may not be the best option.’ TELL US…What do you think of Crittall windows? Do you have any in your home?
