The Warwickshire Barn Shaker Kitchen by deVOLCountry Kitchen
What Houzz contributors are saying:
Create the look with panellingThese elegant units could have looked like a classic Scandinavian kitchen, but the tongue-and-groove panelling gives the space a farmhouse feel. The cladding on the wall is carried through to the island to create a cohesive look. Not only is panelling like this attractive, it’s practical, too. The wall behind the sink is protected from splashes and the narrow shelf and hooks attached to it provide handy storage.
The breakfast bar is out in frontThis butcher’s block-style bar table in an enviably long kitchen got you all saving this image to study later. The gorgeous oak stools by deVOL Kitchens were a hit, too, and add a modern rustic touch. In fact, there’s something very contemporary about this mixture of Shaker kitchen, country-style, pared-back white and those wonderful pendant lights. A traditional look reworked for the 2010s.
Stick to soft tonesAlthough events on the show may get quite dramatic, the background décor balances out the calamity of a collapsed soufflé through the use of soft colours. This kitchen is painted a muted putty shade, giving it a glowing and inviting look. The tongue and groove and cute peg rail add to the country charm. Read more about country style
