First floor living room space that occupies the central area of a traditional threshing barn. The side openings flood the interior spaces with daylight, and the lofty exposed beams ensure the space is generous and impressive. The roof is raised to float above the walls to introduce soft daylight. This is architect Garry Thomas's magical idea for the Grand Designs project filmed by Kevin McCloud.
