This stunning modern kitchen on Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans is the perfect example of form meeting function. The client wanted an ultra-modern kitchen that would be able to accommodate their large family and their love of entertaining. They wanted an almost commercial and industrial feel to the space, and they definitely achieved that goal with this striking scheme. The sleek lines and monochromatic palette create a chic and elegant aesthetic, while the brushed steel surfaces and high-end appliances give the space a contemporary feel. We used a combination of brushed steel reproduction and lacquered laminate for the cabinets and a Dekton Domoos in matt graphite. The luxury appliances are from Siemens, Blanco, and Quooker, and they were chosen for their quality and ability to meet a busy family's demands. This kitchen is truly a work of art and is sure to be the centre of many happy memories for years to come.

A skinny Shaker style framed kitchen beautifully finished with stained oil and complemented with a bespoke wooden table from Spekva and Sensa Moack black work surfaces from Cosentino. The natural wood throughout gives a really warm aesthetic and the recessed handle and push to open functionality on the cabinet doors looks very sleek and sophisticated.

Walls were removed, internal windows added and an off the shelf kitchen was elevated through the use of vintage & handmade details. Hob aperture & internal window are lined in reclaimed science lab worktops, complete with mean graffiti. Handmade moroccan tiles are laid in an unexpected pattern. Vintage German cigar moulds clad the peninsular, which is finished with an aged brass kick plate.

Our Snug Kitchens showroom display combines bespoke traditional joinery, seamless modern appliances and a touch of art deco from the fluted glass walk in larder. The 'Studio Green' painted cabinetry creates a bold background that highlights the kitchens brass accents. Including Armac Martin Sparkbrook brass handles and patinated brass Quooker fusion tap. The Neolith Calacatta Luxe worktop uniquely combines deep grey tones, browns and subtle golds on a pure white base. The veneered oak cabinet internals and breakfast bar are stained in a dark wash to compliment the dark green door and drawer fronts. As part of this display we included a double depth walk-in larder, complete with suspended open shelving, u-shaped worktop slab and fluted glass paneling. We hand finished the support rods to patina the brass ensuring they matched the other antique brass accents in the kitchen. The decadent fluted glass panels draw you into the space, obscuring the view into the larder, creating intrigue to see what is hidden behind the door.

When the homeowners first approached us, they had a clear vision in mind—they wanted something that would complement their existing oak beams and create a warm, handmade, farmhouse atmosphere. We spent time together exploring different options, taking care to ensure every choice reflected their style and the family's needs. Ultimately, we settled on our Period English style, which aligned beautifully with their vision. The addition of curved cabinet legs was a subtle yet significant choice, softening the overall look and bringing a more relaxed feel to the room. The oak beams, far from being a design challenge, became an integral part of the space. We incorporated them into the layout, and the homeowners were delighted with how the kitchen now fits between the beams. One of the family’s favourite features is the kitchen island, which has become a central gathering spot—ideal for both practical tasks and family time. After experimenting with several shades, they settled on this beautiful blue for the cabinetry. The colour not only brightened the space but also beautifully complemented the warmth of the oak beams. The U-shape kitchen in Fenix, Midnight Blue, and Synthia, Limes Oak enabled the client to retain a dining table and entertaining space. A purposefully placed parapet discreetly conceals the kitchen's working area and hob when approaching from the hallway. The Vero cabinet's soft lighting and the play on heights are a modern interpretation of a traditional dresser, creating an ambience and space for a choice of personalised ornaments. Additionally, the midi cabinet provided additional storage. The result was a playfully bright kitchen in the daylight and an atmospherically enticing kitchen at night.
