This full refurbishment boasts rooms with beautiful proportions and high ceilings. The owners required formal entertaining space and this provided us the perfect opportunity to create a truly bespoke interior. We sourced exquisite antiques, one off pieces and custom-made designs. A handful of key design pieces are peppered throughout the house. To fully reflect our clients’ tastes we added an eclectic combination of old and new furniture for an interesting visual mix, creating an interior that feels timelessly elegant and welcoming.

This is an example of a large victorian galley enclosed kitchen in Melbourne with a submerged sink, raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, marble worktops, white splashback, ceramic splashback, stainless steel appliances, an island and dark hardwood flooring.

Here are a couple of examples of bathrooms at this project, which have a 'traditional' aesthetic. All tiling and panelling has been very carefully set-out so as to minimise cut joints.
Built-in storage and niches have been introduced, where appropriate, to provide discreet storage and additional interest.

This beautifully styled living room blends contemporary design with classic architectural detailing, creating a warm yet refined space. Soft blush-toned walls provide an elegant backdrop, perfectly complementing the ornate ceiling cornicing and the restored original fireplace, which acts as a striking focal point.
The fireplace is finished with crisp white joinery, intricate detailing, and a contrasting dark hearth, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Above, a sculptural, organic-shaped mirror reflects light and enhances the sense of space, while echoing the room’s modern aesthetic.
A statement mid-century inspired chandelier adds visual interest and balance, pairing sleek metalwork with soft globe lighting for a sophisticated finish. Carefully curated furnishings—including the sculptural black coffee table, textured rug, and upholstered seating—introduce depth and contrast while maintaining a calm, cohesive palette.
Natural elements such as indoor plants and textured ceramics soften the space, adding warmth and character. Throughout the room, the quality of finishes is evident: from smooth, even paintwork and precise detailing to thoughtfully layered materials that elevate the overall look and feel.
The result is a timeless, high-quality interior that feels both stylish and inviting—perfectly suited for modern living while respecting the home’s original charm.

Dark grey walls and a midnight blue upholstered head board characterise this master bedroom creating an atmospheric, intimate space. Vintage rosewood bedside cabinets and a table light with geometric patterned shade compliment the palette and the pops of vibrant jungle greens keep the look fresh and add interest.

Although the existing entrance hallway was a good size it lacked character. To address this the stained glass in the fan light window above the front door and side window was reinstated, in a bespoke design, bringing light, colour and texture into the hallway.
The original tiled floor had long been removed so a period style crisp black and white tile with a border pattern was specified. This immediately visually increased the size and lightness of the hall area.
Nigel Tyas were commissioned to produce a dramatic copper and glass pendant light in the stairwell that hung from the top floor ceiling down to the ground floor, giving a visual connection and really creating a wow factor.
