A 21 person firm, managed by four Partners, Acheson Doyle Partners Architects (ADP) has been in practice for more than 25 years. A key component of the firm’s practice since its inception is residential design work. Besides a substantial number of private apartment, brownstones and house projects, we’ve been involved in several prominent NYC residential high-rise projects. We are particularly proud of our twenty-five year involvement with The Sherry Netherland. As the Building Architect for this apartment/hotel, we’ve overseen renovation work encompassing everything from private apartments, lobbies, public and retail spaces to building infrastructure replacement. At the Ritz Tower, another notable Manhattan apartment/hotel, ADP worked over a period of seven years in assisting with restoring the building facade, infrastructure upgrades, replanning of the lower five floors and the redesign or restoration of public hallways and lobbies. At 515E72 Condominium, we were subsequently hired in 2005 as the renovation Architect, responsible for overseeing $75M in construction and for coordinating the work of the interior designers, landscape architect, engineers and other consultants for this 41-story conversion. We worked closely with the developer and marketing team in planning all of the combination apartments throughout the building, including several that were specifically designed for high-profile buyers. Through the economic downturn, two ownership changes and three construction managers, we helped bring the building to substantial construction completion in late 2010. We completed the design and construction of the Penthouse at the end of 2014. Over the last 10 years, ADP has also developed an in-house team with a depth of experience in zoning analysis and research; landmarks consulting; preparation of both commercial and residential condominium filing documents; lot apportionments; general property evaluation and due diligence.
