AcV2 architecture

When our family began the process of remodeling and adding on to our 1920’s farmhouse, we had an idea of what we wanted, but were overwhelmed by the complexities of design and detail. Living in a very rural area, a Google search of architects in a 150 mile radius led us to contact ACV2, and they were more than willing to travel two hours, one way to visit and get to know our family and what we were looking for. Patri and John’s philosophy of renovating and reusing structures and materials was very appealing to us. They worked up several options for us, weighed the pros and cons, and patiently listened to us when something didn’t feel quite right. Patri even provided us with our own red felt pen and encouraged us to mark up the drawings to make sure all options and ideas were considered. When we began working with our contractor, both John and Patri were more than happy to work with him on concerns and questions with the design. ACV2 keeps in contact with vendors and experts in all fields, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical to aid in the process of bringing dreams to life. Also, if they aren't familiar with a product or material, they will go the extra mile to research it. The staff of ACV2 is always open to new ideas and puts the concerns and desires of the customer ahead of their own agenda. Our family is thrilled with our well-designed home and the experience of working with Patri, John, and the rest of the staff! We highly recommend them for all projects, large and small.

We learned during our house design and build process that relationships and the ability to communicate with the people you hire is most important to success! AcV2 is great to work with. They are really good at helping pull your design ideas together while still communicating their expertise on what works and what doesn't - whether design ideas, budget concerns or something more technical like building codes or stair constraints. Even though we were out of state, distance was no concern. They are not afraid of technology and put it to good use. Yet they also know the value of hand-drawn sketches and the ability to see and touch materials in person. Patri is really easy to talk to and full of energy. She and her staff have the knowledge and passion for a wide variety of projects. I highly recommend them and would be happy to discuss my experience working with them!
