About Us

Harting & Hunemuller Contractors was established to act as your General Contractor specializing in all your residential and light commercial needs from building new custom homes, offices and condominiums, to additions, commercial remodels, whole house remodels, Kitchen remodels, Bathroom remodels and Window replacements. We primarily serve the Cedar Falls - Waterloo metropolitan area. Our reach includes surrounding towns such as Hudson, Reinbeck, Dike, New Hartford, Waverly, Janesville, Evansdale, Parkersburg, Denver, and Shell Rock. Our business was established in 1989 by Don Harting and Reed Hunemuller. Don started in construction while still in High School in the early 70's and now has over 40 years experience in building new homes, remodeling and light commercial construction. Reed attended the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 1979 with a degree in Industrial Technology with and emphasis in Construction. After more than 25 years our simple philosophy of "Build it right, Build it to last and Keep the customer happy" still holds true today.
