I initially hired Andrea to renovate the kitchen in my home. Her fresh ideas, taste level, resources, attention to detail, project coordination and open communication were simply fantastic. The project went very smoothly, and my new kitchen is stunning! I absolutely love it and continue to receive compliments from all who see it. Since then, I've gone back to Andrea for everything from furniture and accessories, to paint selections and staging. Andrea is extremely reliable, honest and professional from first conversation to final completion. As a realtor, I know the value of good advice when it comes to design, renovation, color selection and interior décor. I used Andrea to decorate the entire first floor and our guest bedroom of our new home in Oakton VA. Andrea was great to work with - always a professional. She really listened and was able to quickly understand what I was looking to achieve and then presented several options. She assisted and guided me through the selection process and she then flawlessly organized all installation. In summary, I could not have been more pleased.

Andrea came to our home to "rearrange" our existing living room as a result of a charity auction. She noticed immediately why the room did not quite work, and it now looks beautiful. As a result of the experience, we hired her to completely re-do our master bedroom, guest bedroom/bath, and my den. Andrea listened to our ideas, quickly ascertained our tastes, and came up with plans that excited us. My den now has floor to ceiling cabinets to display many family heirlooms, excellent lighting, and beautiful color and textures. The bedrooms are totally different from each other, but perfect for their purpose. Andrea even fixed a closet shelving problem.

Andrea is a very talented and artistic interior designer and she also has a great sense of humor. She is a pleasure to work with and her creativity astounded me. She was able to work magic with colors. She always had several ideas to present to us on fabrics, rooms, colors, textures, rugs, curtains, lamps and more. She totally redecorated our house about three years ago and we absolutely love it.

Over a period of three to four years Ms. Hickman decorated my living area plus master bedroom and bath. Her decor met my personality, tastes and living style perfectly. Her choice of colors were a surprised but most comforting as I walked into my home and through it.

A. Hickman Design did an awesome job with design and decor for the "revamping" of my home's interior. Andrea has excellent recommendations and ideas for everything! I was clueless about what paint colors would coordinate with my furniture, what type of fireplace would look best, etc., and she helped me all of it. What a stress reliever when she stepped in. Such talent and I highly recommend her company!

It's a multi-year project that started with full-house walk-through. Started with painting of first and second floors and main furnishings on first floor. It has made a huge difference already. The furniture chosen blends well stylistically with the existing furniture. With a couple favorite colors I provided, a variety or suite of colors were found and used that are pleasing and relaxing. I look forward to having further improvements done.
