Alex helped me to redecorate my 6 bedroom house in South West London. She helped me to make creative design decisions, taking me out of my comfort zone but never away from the personality of my home and family. We love the results as do all who visit. Alex also dealt with so much of the administration on this huge project, smoothing the way and making it a joy.

We asked Alex Cotton to come and help with a total refurbishment of our 5 bedroom house which was looking a little tired after we had spent several years living abroad. We asked her to help us “modernise, lighten and freshen” the property and to increase a sense of space and improve storage. Alex has excellent vision and came up with a number of ideas and options to fit in with our objectives. Initially, I felt a little overwhelmed by the project but Alex very quickly made me feel at ease, and I ended up really enjoying the process. Alex was extremely easy to work with and was wonderful at listening to us and identifying things that fitted with our ideas or, where necessary, suggesting different options. She would bring her ideas back very quickly and would then help me to visualise the plan. She was always extremely calm and understanding if I wasn’t certain about a colour or a fabric and was very patient when I changed my mind half way through a wall being painted! Alex is a great problem solver and would always come back with other suggestions if something did not quite hit the spot immediately. Alex was also efficient, worked to budget and was a very good communicator. Alex also bought in an excellent team of cabinet makers, painters, builders etc to help make the project happen and we are totally delighted with the result. I would absolutely and very happily recommend Alex to anyone looking to refurbish their property.

Alex Cotton worked with me on the renovation of my 5 bedroom North London terrace house. She was instrumental in bringing together a coherent scheme together with wall colour, soft furnishings and furniture. She has a natural eye for what works and and translated my ideas into something that flowed seamlessly through the house. She has a mature but fun style. Alex initially trained as a project manager at a major consultancy, and you can see that in the way she effortlessly moved the project - and crucially my decision making - along in time with the overall house build. I would use her again and in fact am on a cottage renovation.
