We needed to replace the shale tile around our pool and after checking out several options, we decided to go with Carvestone from Allied Outdoor Solutions. We also decided to add a seating area away from the pool decking. From initial planning and design, to demolition and final installation, the folks from Allied were awesome! We had several stages to our project and the crew scheduling was flawless. Rachel kept us informed at each stage, and our construction planner Jose was always available to discuss unforeseen issues. As with any project of this size, there were some unexpected "discoveries", but the folks from Allied provided cost effective solutions. We are very pleased. The finished product looks amazing!

AOS is a terrific company with excellent customer communication. The gentlemen who installed our patio deck were top notch. Carvestone was the perfect solution for us. Couldn't be happier!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Alex came to help me imagine the project and broke down all my options. Then when we started Robyn checked in on the progress and made sure we were moving ahead as scheduled. I live in a historc district with additional hurdles and everything was handled beautifully. Big thanks and would recommend 110%.

UPDATE - was 2 stars - Allied reached out after my initial review detailing the many issues experienced in an attempt to make things right. They rectified the issues that were most pressing to our being satisfied with the finished product. Project Management remains a growth area for Allied as even with this do-over opportunity there were gaps where I had to call or text to get things right. --------- This is tough because the end product is decently nice. But there were too many issues with this project to provide positive reference. There was absolutely no visible project management - many issues below would have been rectified if supervision or project level view instead of relying on individual trades performing their piece of the scope with little oversight - Kamado smoker sleeve - delivered with all other appliances but masons built a cutout that won’t fit the sleeve. When brought up via text same day I was told “it will be rectified on final fit”. It was not fixed and we had to accept the deviation from plan instead of another setback. - Trash - old ceiling fan, kitchen boxes and packing along with pallets and construction trash had to be cleaned up by us after crew left in the yard and driveway over two weeks. - Sprinkler line and sprinkler head broken -no notice. The crew broke a sprinkler pipe when trenching for electric, but never notified us. Days later when they were about to fill the hole in I had to ask and was told if there was damage it is “collateral damage” that we were responsible to fix at our cost. Not a great message, but if that’s the standard they should at least tell me it’s broken before filling the hole. Once I paid for fix the Allied crew covered new sprinkler head with rock and dirt and broke the new sprinkler head. I had to pay for pipe and sprinkler head repair, but also had to find the broken items myself. - Kitchen stone - picked July 21st…. Almost 2 months later on Sept 15th we were told out of stock - had to pick new stone via cell phone pictures because it was the day of scheduled install when we were notified of supply shortage. - All kitchen renderings have granite countertop hang-over on barstool side - actual product is flush. Accepted shortcoming due to already fed up with responses and lack of things getting fixed along the way. - Demolition of existing structure - Allied took down old structure and demo’d old fire pit. We were told actually removing gas line and electrical conduit from old structure deemed out of scope. So the Allied “scope” would have had random live electric wire and separate natural gas stub-up just sticking out randomly in the space. - Another unreported collateral damage was the electric line providing power to pool lights cut. It went unreported and project finished with cut line sealed under new concrete so I now have a $3k+ repair to pay.

We had a very good experience. No surprises. The process went exactly like we were told. Everyone we talked to was helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The patio looks great!

From start to finish working with Allied was a pleasure. The crews arrived as scheduled and were always polite. Those doing the carve stone design took pride in their work and did a fantastic job. We appreciated the continuous communication with the project managers, who were always available to answer our questions. We were very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Allied.

We were so impressed with Allied , I think they deserve 10 stars. From the beginning of the design process through finish we had the best customer service and experience. They asked our contact presence and mine being text , I received constant update texts from our coordinator and project manager. Each person went above and beyond and we absolutely love our outdoor kitchen. They worked around our crazy schedules to meet with us and always with a smile. They are not the cheapest but the quality of work , professionalism and finished product is worth the investment.

Most terrible experience I have ever experienced with a contractor. The initial consultation was great but 4 months later once the work started, it was hell. Not worth my time or money. French drains were not what we ordered and were not put in right so we dug them up. They also busted my main water line while putting it in. The concrete was poured over sprinkler heads that we told we wanted to cap off. Im sure the carvestone would have looked amazing. That seems to be what they are good at. In the end, they threaten to send us to collections if we didn’t close out their ticket but I kept saying the numbers were wrong. We were charged $2,500 for services that weren’t performed. We ended up starting a bbb claim and got nowhere with that. I just wanted to express my experience so you can look for another company.

If you are thinking about using Allied Outdoor Solutions to do a project for you, don't. We have been working with them for over a year and our project is still not complete. We can't even get a call back or any updates on what they will be doing next. When they do finally have someone come out, they usually don't do the job correctly and have to come back 3 or 4 times to finally get it right.

This company boasts of having dedicated teams for each project. What they don't tell you is the different phases of the project won't be completed until the initial phase is complete. 'We work in a linear fashion' Is what I was told. So if masonry isn't completed, nothing else is going to get done unless you yell at them. My particular project (outdoor kitchen) took twice as long and the work was done twice (rework). I am in the process of asking for an itemized statement which apparently does not exist. So in the meantime, I have put a block on the payments until I get this. The finished product is OKAY, but could have been better. The customer service is sub-par for projects over $10K. Communication is very subpar until they want to get paid. I expected some mistakes, but everything they've done had to be fixed. Waste of money and time.

We were so excited to have our outdoor patio extended with an outdoor kitchen and new landscaping. Unfortunately what we were sold was not what we received. The project began in April 2021 and had numerous delays due to materials, labor and constant project management shuffles. We would put most of the blame on the lack of communication and follow through from our various project managers. One phase of the project would be "completed" and they would move on to another step. Unfortunately they didn't often finish the first phase and reassured us that the next project manager would resolve any issues. Their business model of a new project manager with each phase may make sense to them but it lacked continuity and hampered the project in our eyes. A few examples: - The concrete team poured the foundation but then didn't remove all of the forms and we had to hound the next two sets of project managers to complete that work. The concrete work was not adequate and it required cleanup because the forms burst and didn't hold. - We had a gutter/drain that was to be incorporated into the concrete and even after we asked them to move it multiple times they insisted it would be hidden. It is not and is an eyesore. - We would be given a date for when work would be done but it was often missed and we would receive no notification. Oftentimes we had arranged our schedule to be available as requested but they would no show. - The Carvestone portion of the project was the worst phase, the team tried very hard but applied the sealant wrong twice and they had to come out an additional four more times. We still have splotches and discoloration that Allied claims is "normal". Overall the project took twice as long to complete and even though we escalated to their Senior VP, issues took forever to get resolved or we just moved on. By no means are we satisfied and would not recommend doing business with this company.

I've hired Allied to do a Carvestone work and resurface my patio and pool deck areas. From the first moment I talked with the sales representative I got the impression that I would be dealing with a very professional company. He was able to explain the process and answered my questions with honesty and we came out with a decision on a Flagstone pattern. After a couple of weeks my project was assigned to a manager (Austen) who contacted me to schedule the beginning of the work. As agreed, he showed up on time and we walked through the project area to discuss all the steps and details. His crew arrived 30 minutes after and started the work right away. First, they removed the old topping material, which took the whole first day. On the second day, they applied the surface preparation bonding solution on the concrete, prepared a sample board for decision on stain color and grout, and after that they applied the carvestone mix, and eventually carved the flagstone pattern. They have to skip the weekend because of rainy weather, but on Monday they were back to stain the "rocks", seal them, and apply the mastic to fill the joints. At the end of the third day when I came home I was welcomed by Austen who went over the project with me again to guarantee my total satisfaction. Another great point of working with Allied was that the crew always kept the dirt and dust to a minimum and left the site very clean at the end. Allied is the best company I have worked with and definitely recommend them.

I would not recommend using Allied Outdoor Solutions for a Carvestone project. The crew was not skilled enough to recreate the look of the brochure pictures.

I would definitely recommend Allied to anyone. Process was painless and Jordan was very helpful and was quick responding to any concerns.

We purchased our new home in the summer of 2016. The exposed aggregate pool deck that we inherited would always get so hot on our children's feet. It didn't take long before we decided we needed to do something. In the fall of 2016, we had Carvestone installed on the pool deck. It is beautiful, much cooler on the kid's feet, and we get so many compliments. Allied Outdoor Solutions did an incredible job and we look forward to them doing other outdoor living projects for our backyard oasis.

9/23/2017 Drew Williams Allied Outdoor Solutions 1557 W. Sam Houston Pkwy Suite 140 Houston, TX 77043 Dear Mr. Williams, Back in March/April, I paid some $9000 plus for a patio build and extension Allied Outdoor Solutions, invoice 11709. I should make it clear that I added a concrete section of patio that was in addition to my current concrete patio. These are the issues I have with the work and they have previously been submitted to Allied Outdoor Solutions: 1.Your first crew that poured the concrete and explained they would dig a hole and pour any waste concrete in the hole and dig it up at the end of the their part of the project. a. I am not aware of any hole that they dug. b.I found 1 concrete dump on my front lawn c.I found 2 other concrete dumps in my back flower bed d.I found 1 additional large dump in my back yard grass 2.I asked your finish crew to put an extra concrete thickness, maybe a quarter inch or so in a low place on the patio extension you installed before they were to do final finish out. a.They promised to do so. b.They ignored my request when they did the final finish out c.I now have a water that stands in about 3 foot circle area whenever it the daily sprinkler system comes on or when it rains d.I am tired of sweeping the puddle water off the patio 3.After I complained, Allied sent Chad Turner out to see the patio. a.In a 5 minute meeting, Mr. Turner denied any culpability for the water standing on that newly constructed portion b.In spite of the fact the water was only present on the patio addition that Allied installed, Mr. Turner offered no help in resolving the problem. In short, Allied Outdoor solutions misrepresented their work methods and did not stand behind their work.

We had Allied renovate our pool. We also had them apply the carvestone to our existing decking, patios and driveway. They are the worst company to work with. Jordan, who came out to sell the job was great at talking the talk. They do not know how to run jobs, the pool PM has no idea what he is doing nor does he know how to speak with clients in a professional manner. They must have told us they would do as contracted a dozen times, but never any follow through. We are still waiting for them to fix the cravestone. The pool tile has sealer running down it from the sealer that was applied to the deck. The bench in the pool is not level, nor is the tile installed level. Their crews don't seem to care how they damage surrounding grass areas or where they dump their trash. We had to have help cleaning up plaster and cement that was dumped in various areas around the yards. I would not recommend this company for any projects.

I used Allied Outdoor Solutions last year to pour a concrete patio and install a hot tub in the backyard of my new home after interviewing a few companies, and Allied seemed like the best company to go with. Positives: The employees were really nice, and they did a quality job on the patio and installation of the stone around the hot tub. They did a great job setting up and taking down the project, so we didn't have to do anything to assist in completing the project. Negatives: Allied was not timely in installing the patio. After we moved into the home and contracted Allied, it took about 4-5 months for them to start and complete the project. Allied used a local sprinkler company to come and adjust my sprinkler lines in the yard to accommodate for the patio. The sprinkler company changes the zones in my sprinkler panel, and then adjusted the sprinkler heads in my front yard. I contacted Allied, the job is still under warranty, and they denied doing anything to change the zones on my sprinklers or that they messed with the sprinkler heads in the front yard. Well, the sprinkler company did, because the owner told me face to face that he did in my front yard after the project, but that everything should be working better. Conclusion: While Allied did a great job with the patio, they really did and it is very nice, they are not timely and the do not hold up their end of the warranty.

Received multiple bids from stamped to color concrete. Chose Allied Outdoor because of there warranty and they are a One Stop Shop! Added coping around our pool, had old flagstone removed from around pool & patio area plus 3 tier walkway from road to front door. Plus the walkway from driveway to front door and edge of driveway. At the last minute had Allied to remove old flagstone mailbox with new mailbox cover in Carvestone. Super workers!! Would hire Allied Outdoor Solution again!

My front stoop was originally constructed in 1970s of the same brick and mortar as my town house, but over time, the mortar had disintegrated leaving tripping hazards at my front door. Allied O S covered the area with the Carvestone and the job turned out just as I have envisioned it in my mind. They has to wait a few days longer for the area to dry, but came back and added the charcoal gray to the textured material. They were very respectful of my plants and yard. It was a job well done!

Invited several outdoor paving companies to my home to review options of carved/stamped concrete versus pavers. Allied explained everything the best and presented my options in a way my wife and I understood. We made the decision to go with pavers and a few weeks later the crew arrived to knock it out. The foundation work they did was far above and beyond my expectations. A year later it still looks as good as new and we are very happy with the work.
