Alt Design Group is a full service boutique design firm specializing in residential interiors. We like to describe our style as Modern Traditional, where a timeless look gets a new twist with clean-lined pieces, luxury finishes and chic accessories. Julia was great to work with! We live full time in the Midwest and did a whole house remodel on our home in Newport Beach, CA. Doing a remodel from half way across the country is a daunting task but Julia was beyond helpful (in all ways) with the entire process (not only selecting finishes, fixtures and furniture, she took on the role as project manager). She wanted to know what was important to us and designed the whole house concept with that in mind. She has a great relationship with all the trades she works with. That was critical in dealing with the contractor and selecting and ordering everything we needed (especially since we were still in the midst of post pandemic supply chain issues). She listens and works with you vs telling what you need to do. She is very current with trends but again it was important to her to design with our priorities in mind. She is accessible and approachable and I found that refreshing (having worked with other designers in the past that weren't). She saw the project through and past its completion. She definitely went above and beyond on our project. I absolutely LOVE how our home turned out!! We will be working with her again on another project soon and I can't wait!

Julia Alt was very easy to work with and didn’t pressure us. She took the time initially to get to know us and what we were thinking. We already had a rough design and a contractor but we needed someone to talk to when we had questions and to help pick out and coordinate various pieces, like cabinet color, quartz color, flooring, cabinet pulls, and backsplash. Julia found the backsplash and that just made everything come together. We had peace of mind knowing we were making the right decisions because we had Julia backing us up. We love how everything turned out and we get lots of compliments. Our kitchen is now bright and so easy to work in. Thank you, Julia.

Julia was outstanding at helping make our kitchen remodel a success! She helped narrow down the design options and worked with our budget needs. She developed a design that was an updated version of our current style so that we did not have to buy all new furniture to match the new kitchen. She always appreciated the remodeling process from my point of view. The most helpful part of what Alt Design Group did for us, I didn't even know we needed until after going through this process: Julia professionally nudged the contractor, the cabinet company and me to follow up on pending issues quickly so that the work got done as smoothly as possible. There were hiccups along the way, as any project does, and Julia was transparent about pricing and helped us navigate those issues, too. I can't imagine having attempted to remodel our kitchen without Julia!

Julia was great to work with from start to finish! She used our Pinterest boards to select options that matched our style perfectly, and we ended up with completely refreshed bathrooms and kitchen. She was able to balance our high-end taste with the ultimate goal of keeping our project from "over-improving" the condo. Her responsiveness throughout construction was much appreciated as well - most often texting back within minutes if a question came up from our contractor. She even went the final step of sourcing and installing shelving and artwork in our bathrooms! We are thrilled with the results of Julia's hard work and creative eye!

Julia has been helping us with a number of projects over the past six months and we have really enjoyed working with her. We were looking for an interior designer to help us revamp a new home that needed a lot of work. We looked for someone that could also help with furniture selection and decorating ideas. After interviewing several designers and design firms, we selected Julia based on her portfolio, approach, and communication style. She has helped us with bathroom remodels, reflooring, and furniture selection. Julia has provided great options and has industry connections that have made this easier than it otherwise could be in this market. I had no clue which tiles to pick for my new Floor . walking around warehouses was overwhelming for me . Julia understanding very quickly my taste , picked beautiful tiles for me . She picked the right carpet fit the stairs , silhouettes . Gave us ideas where and how to hang our art . I will need more assistance as our remodeling isn’t complete yet . . Julia Helped me redesign the living area Space .

I only wish I discovered this design group and Julia three years ago, before I hired a different designer for my other home. For my family’s renovation this time, I interviewed several interior designers and chose Julia because I communicated and worked easily with her. During her design services, she was patient and answered questions, which convened me. She was open to my thoughts and ideas, which resulted in a beautiful re-design of our entire home. Can’t wait to see it come into fruition.

Alt Design Group was a tremendous help getting our project underway during these especially difficult COVID affected days. While it took longer than expected due to unforeseen setbacks, Julia from Alt Design Group, walked us through the entire process from planning, design, budget and timeline as well as helping pick out a general contractor and other professionals. We did a full kitchen remodel, which slowly creeped into adjacent rooms needing flooring, paint and other upgrades. She was always available to provide help and feedback on design choices and suggestions; and even acted as project coordinator on behalf of us as needed. Home renovations are always stressful and challenging, but with Alt Design Group, you are in great hands!
