I have never been so unimpressed with a company that is charging over $8,000.00 for a job and taking a deposit of over $4,000.00 with the signing of a contract. Contract was signed on April 6, 2018 with finishing date within 6 weeks. Hey it's July 21, 2018. Came in to put in 4 stairs and several weeks later the metal part to hold the glass railing. Still no glass and according to the contract which wasn't thoroughly read and not exactly explained properly, we have to stain and finish stairs and sides of wooded area ourselves. If I could give this project a -5 or 10 stars, I would. Project Manager does not return calls and Customer Service does not provide service at all. I would just like them to take everything out and return our money and we will find another professional company or do it ourselves. It would be done by now.

Initial quality was excellent but trying to get followup service for an issue has been an exercise in frustration. Six calls and a visit in person only yielded a series of "we'll contact you shortly" responses. This has dragged on for a year. Poor customer service has completely soured my experience with Amber. Its a shame really, one small issue in an otherwise good job, but enough not to recommend them to anyone else.

Having contacted loads of potential suppliers, we chose Amber because they were responsive to our needs and very knowledgeable to boot. They take their work seriously and it shows. From Jeremy in sales to John in project management and Jason in installations, these guys have been fantastic in their communication, speed and quality. And did we mention they make beautiful stairs?

Amber Stairs & Railings. My go to place for the best stairs and railings. Jim and everyone there is bang on great and they respect renovations, all I can say is, they stepped up...lol. They listened, paid attention to my clients, they offered up options, they were great. Amber respected the work on my first of many builds, they knew I was out to prove myself as a new kind of builder. They were there measuring, measuring and still measuring and taking great care on site. When there was a question, we called and they answered, if they couldn't talk, Jim always got back to me real quick. They know there are always 1000's of questions and clients need answers right away and Amber was always on track with me, my clients and the build. Sure there are issues, and a number of problems but Amber, specifically Jim was always all over it until I was happy, in turn my client was happy and in the end my first build was perfect and Amber had a huge part in it. Thanks guys and we are currently working on a couple of other projects. At Hardcore Renos, I am loyal when I find great people to work with.
