About Us

Amparo Del Rio is a Certified Architectural Interior Designer specializing in Residential Remodels, Additions, ADU’s, Kitchens, and Bath Design. "I produce scale drawings of proposed floor plan(s), elevations, details, a lighting plan, building section, site plans, and demolition plan, complete with a visual representation of the final design. In addition, I will draw up documents that you can use to obtain construction bids and permits". My motto is “Design to Improve Life.” My goal in any project is to design a comfortable and efficient space for you and your family. Good design will be admired for endless years. It will be an extension of your personality and the activities of your life. Your family will be in love with their new space. People remodel for many reasons. Each time is like life starting over again. A new space can change your life with all the colors and comforts to make you happy. It is a science and an art to come up with effective floor plans. Most of the houses I have remodeled had inefficient floor plans. I can move a kitchen from the front of the house to the rear to improve the comfort and flow throughout your family’s space. I can remove walls to open space and use every square foot in the room, maximizing your living space. Amparo helped us with an addition to our home. Her design is modern and contemporary. She is easy to work with and made our addition look as if it was part of the house. She was available when needed and worked well the contractor. We enjoyed working with her.

My wife and I enlisted Amparo's expertise in designing our new deck (stunning) and then designing built-ins for our pantry and master bedroom closet. She involved us in every step of the process, listened to us and didn't force her choices on us. The end result for both projects were better than we could have hoped for. Her fees are reasonable and her diligence exemplary. We would definitely hire her again for our next renovation project.

We worked with Amparo on an expansion project at our house. We loved her thoroughness and attention to detail. She is very responsive as well and kept communicating with us throughout the process. She was very invested in the work and would send us links and brochures to share her ideas and even meet us at stores to help select materials. The plans got approved by the city at one go which allowed the project to get started on time. Amparo is very familiar with the process of getting plans approved by the city which really helped. We really liked the plans she drew up and now that the project is complete, we love the end result and are enjoying the expansion!

Amparo was fast, efficient and quickly helped with my house renovation project by getting me a plot drawing and remodeling layouts of my house to obtain a final approval from the city. She was on top of communications and quickly delivered the project after a single site visit to take measurements.

Working with Amparo Del Rio on the complete home renovation was a pleasure from start to finish. Amparo listened carefully to our needs, and came up with a wonderful design. She followed through on all the aspects of permitting the project with the structural engineer and working with the contractor’s bidding process. Amparo always kept the budget in mind throughout the project, choosing the best materials and finishes without our budget. She thought of several things to keep costs down, which we would not have known. Amparo is a professional who knows how to meet her client’s needs, and she is a joy to work with on remodeling design, project management and landscape design. I can’t say enough nice things about working with Amparo, as she made our lives so much easier. Her ideas were so good, that we changed very little of her original design and choice of materials. We were completely happy to have Amparo on this project, and I will use her services again!

Amparo completely re-designed our home and we could not be happier with the finished product. Based on her recommendation, we opened up three walls, and moved a kitchen from the center of the house to the back. This was a lengthy project and I am so happy with Amaro's work. She is a consummate professional, and was very easy to work with. She makes sure that you are 100% happy with her design. She has a great eye and presented ideas that we could not have come up with. Amparo's all about space efficiency. She has a very strong point of view, which we appreciated. We are so happy in our newly remodeled house - thank you, Amparo!

Brandon and Leila Remodel

We had a wonderful experience working with Amparo as she helped us redesign 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, and along with other misc house modifications. In addition to the designs, we also hired her to create plans for obtaining construction permits in the city of Burlingame.
