Ananda completed our plans for submission for development and building permits. She was very professional, collaborative and flexible in what type of work we needed. Even though we didn't need full design services, she was attentive and responded quickly to any requests. We would certainly use her again in the future.

Ananda is very good at her job. She came into our new house and helped prepare detailed construction permit plans from sketches and handdrawn mark-ups. Her turn around time was fast and she nailed it the first time, helping to make the process efficient and painless. I highly recommend her.

I collaborated with Ananda from Anik Design on a custom furniture commission for a client in Ontario. The process was creative and enjoyable. The result was a product that combined modern lines, different materials (wood and concrete), and traditional joinery. The clients were very please and have requested additional commissions. Much of the design work was done by distance and Ananda was excellent at using multiple forms of communication to brainstorm ideas and share conceptual drafts. Her extensive knowledge of architectural styles and instincts regarding aesthetics were evident from beginning. She was tactful in suggesting small changes that had a positive effect on the overall balance of the piece. Additionally, her environmental ethic was appreciated and showed in her desire to utilize wood from local, sustainably managed wood lots. I would be delighted to collaborate on future projects with Anik Design and highly recommend the design services of Ananda Lazare.

I hired Ananda to provide detailed floor plans for a new liquor store that was relocated to the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. It was a tricky project as the floor plans had to satisfy all of the requirements from the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch as well as the local Municipality before the license could be transferred and any construction could begin. After only one meeting Ananda incorporated the requirements for the layout of the space into a floor plan that was very effective. There were a few changes to the layout afterwards based on purchasing changes, for shelving and equipment, which she incorporated into the plans with a very fast turn around time. I would hire Ananda and her company again as they successfully nailed down the requirements, listened, and worked quickly and efficiently with feedback and produced a great product.
