Appleton Weiner designed a major refurbishment of our 4 storey Victorian house. This included an extension on the lower ground floor, and the clever refiguring of the space to include the creation of two new bathrooms and one new bedroom. We are extremely happy with the design and service they provided. They were respectful and really listened to our design needs. They then project managed the project so that it was delivered to budget.

I have used David's firm, Appleton Weiner Architects, in the past for a number of residential and commercial projects (eg a conversion of a house into four flat, a change of use of a building into a café). I have thus far achieved a 100% success rate with David on all planning applications. He recently gained planning approval for a roof top balcony for a flat in Islington. The planners had highlighted a number of concerns with the proposal in that location in a pre-application review. David took on board all of concerns and submitted a considered planning application which was subsequently approved by the planners despite all their initial reservations. I would thoroughly recommend David if you are looking for a versatile, professional and highly experienced architect to work at all stages of a project (ie planning, building regulations, construction). I can not speak more highly of David - an architect of the highest calibre.

We had an excellent service from Appleton Weiner. The support with the design meant we ended up with a better specification than we had thought possible. Local knowledge and a good relationship with the planning department helped our application go smoothly. The positive relationship with the builder meant the project management went smoothly. Our endless revisions were considered and incorporated into the ongoing project as we went along. Overall we were very satisfied and would recommend David to other people.

He will manipulate a space in such a unique way in order to provide clever functional living spaces. Many can produce beautiful architecture but David achieves this and so much more. If you are ever asked the question "do I need an Architect ?" what David will provide for you, is the reason why you need an Architect. He is also the most pleasant man we work with too?
