Ashlee Fence

I had high hopes for this company when I received my quote. The hope quickly deteriorated from there. First, I was quoted 4-6 weeks (Signed agreement Oct 17th). Install did not begin until December 19th, 8 weeks and 2 days later. On the 19th I was told it would be completed that Thursday the 21st. It was not. I was then told they began installing the wrong fence and had to start over which delayed things to completion on Friday. Much to my dismay I returned home Friday night to a not even half-finished fence. I had to send pictures of the mess the installers left; rolls of nails, blades, tools, drink cans, and wood just lying all about. Myself and my dogs both stepped on a saw blade at night that they left on my stairs and I can only thank the heavens that no one was sliced open. Mounds of mud were also left in my neighbor's yard. At this point, I no longer had a safe space for my dogs to be watched so I could visit my family who lives out of the country. I had to cancel my non-refundable flight and sat at home, alone, for the holidays instead. I am told that due to all of this, they all agree I will be given a discount. We are now 10.5 weeks later with the fence finally finished. The next day I see the gate post is wobbly so I call and ask why. It was not secured to the house and they came back out to add two $1-2 L brackets to the brick of my home. YAY, one problem solved. I am assured I will receive a phone call from Erin, their general manager about the discount I will be receiving. Today I got the invoice, and guess what? no phone calls, no discount. I responded to the email asking why after all of this the discount was not taken seriously. To which Erin replies, well, we did smaller spacing as a courtesy to you, we came back out and added L brackets as a courtesy to you. COURTESY? You simply cannot be serious. I still today, have holes with visible cement where they did not bother to put back the dirt/mud and instead chose to leave it all through the yard. There are still small chunks of 2x4 and yellow string in my backyard that they left. Not to mention my yard is a complete mess. I am livid. I have owned four homes and installed fences at every home and never have I experienced such a lack of professionalism.

4/7/2021 I am currently still waiting on their workers to show up and finish my fence. They promised my fence would be installed by Christmas, then New Years. It’s after a Easter now. Their workers made a huge mess in my yard and I spent the last 2 hours cleaning up pieces of wood everywhere just to be able to mow my grass. I’ve sent dozens of emails (including ones to Bob, the owner) during the entire process that have fallen on deaf ears. Their communication is atrocious. You are guaranteed frustration, poor communication and missed deadlines if you go with this company. The management team/owner is very dismissive about the deadlines they’ve promised. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. They lie to get your business and if you do not call them daily you will not have a fence anytime soon. I’m 8 months into this process and am calling and emailing them to install my gate on that lays in my driveway. 4/8/2021 my gate has still not been installed. My dogs got out of my yard at 5 AM. The holes where the posts were installed for the fence are large enough where my 10 year old can sit in them. I contacted the owner Bob finally after sending 4 emails and calling multiple times. He was still dismissive. He became angry over the phone yelling at me. This is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I’m begging them to do the work they were paid to do and to meet the deadlines they set. Do not use this company!

Ashlee Fence did a wonderful job and they are reasonable. Also they listen to any concerns we had to make sure the job was completed as needed. We shopped around looking at other fencing companies and we are very pleased that we chose Ashlee Fence. They do quality work and had the job done quickly. We have had them out here for two different jobs. Each time we were very satisfied.

Ashlee Fence did a great job. They were on time, respectful and professional. Their price was reasonable and they did a great job. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends and family.
