Ausden Inc

I originally started working with Ryan at Ausden in November 2016 on a custom table and bench. I finally received my order four months later (March 2017). I did not push him on the lengthy production time as I figured I'd rather have exactly what I want rather than a rushed product. Unfortunately that was not the case. The table I received is very cheap looking. Very thin table top - similar to a picnic table - and the legs are not at all what I requested. I had a specific picture I shared with Ryan, and he said he could do it. He did not. The legs of the table I received are extremely cheap. I was very clear the legs were a primary focus of the table as I was going for a very specific look. What I received, however, looks like the legs of a table at a fast food restaurant. Awful! I contacted him immediately, and he said he'd work on new legs - legs more similar to the picture I provided at the very beginning. When asking for status updates in the following few months, he would respond with something along the lines of "Almost there" or "welder is delivering to me this week." However he has gone silent the past 4 months. I've tried calling and emailing several times, and he will not respond. I even offered to drive the 5 hour drive to Nashville to pick up the new legs - the legs I originally requested and he said he could make. Still - no response. So I have been waiting patiently on a table I spent a lot of money on for nearly a year. I'm left with a fast food-looking picnic table that wobbles.

Working with Ausden inc was a great experience. They are passionate about their work. Our project together was building a unique, custom reclaimed wood bar for our basement. From the beginning every detail mattered and we were impressed with the thought put into the type of wood, color, and grain to make it all pull together. It was wrapped vertically in 150yr+ old TN barnwood with a 100yr old reclaimed butcher block top from an old train station. They involved us every step of the way to be a part of the build process. It was also custom measured to fit all appliances and storage underneath giving it a unique high bar height. Size also mattered given the big space we needed it to balance across the basement. When installation came, we needed to make some adjustments based on some new ideas for a better fit and they saw it through. They were committed until the job was done right. We are very pleased with our experience and highly recommend to anyone else looking for hands on, unique craftsmanship.

Two years ago I experienced a fire that destroyed everything I owned, except the iron parts to my headboard and footboard. I salvaged the remains and held on to them tight, knowing that someday I would have something made from the two pieces. After buying my first home, I knew it was time, but who to trust with these already rugged pieces that meant the world to me? The only answer was Ausden Inc. Ryan took the time to study the pieces and together we came up with a chandelier for my new home. When he sent me a "sneak peak" I was beside myself, and when he arrived for installation I wanted to cry. He was able to save the integrity of each piece to demonstrate what they had been through, and despite literally being pulled out from the ashes, these two pieces were now formed into one masterpiece giving light and adorning my new home!

Ausden Inc. completed 5 custom pieces for our new shop location: -Violin Coffin Case light -Violin Cradle Light -Violin Books Lamp -3 Pendant lights for our POS area -Faced the checkout counter with repurposed barn tin Ryan and the Ausden staff was very easy to work with, and executed our plan very admirably. These items are true centerpieces in our shop, especially the coffin case light. Ausden's work is second to none, and VERY original.
