Banner Day did an exceptional job with the interior design of our new place. Clara truly turned our house into a home, we love the character and useful layout of her design. Her understanding of space planning is masterful, and her design eye and vendor pool were very strong. Also, her team's logistical support made life a lot easier for us. All this accomplished during the throes of Covid! I would strongly recommend Banner Day!

If you want a construction project done well, Clara is a MUST have! Clara saved us and our project. What started as a foundation replacement project with the set up for an in-law unit, we spent a year and a half on hold mid project with our house on stilts. The foundation contractor was waiting for us to find a plumber to install rough plumbing and being clueless about construction, our kids being young, and both working full time, we were stuck big time. When Clara came to our house for the first time, she instantly diagnosed our problem: we needed a general contractor. She helped us find and secure a general contractor, and we finally started making progress. Clara's corporate legal background enables her to be an invaluable leader among all stakeholders on the project. For us, her integrity, communication, problem solving, and organization skills are what gave us the confidence to move forward. We now have an amazing in-law unit for my parents, all thanks to Clara.

Clara is a rare talent who is masterful in creating a vision for any space and then bringing it to life. She is great communicator, decisive, extremely efficient, organized and her follow-through is amazing. She partners well with her immediate team and contractors and vendors alike. We absolutely love how Clara transformed our home! We are so inspired to cook meals in our beautiful and functional kitchen.

Clara and her team are amazing. We could not be happier with how our house looks and feels. Also, the ease and transparency of the entire process exceeded all our expectations. When we bought our house, it was essentially a sterile white box, and we needed to furnish the whole place. My husband and I are both picky and clueless about home decoration, so we didn't know where or how to start. When we worked with Banner Day, Clara spent time talking to us about what we liked and asked us to assemble a Pinterest Board of images. We were all over the place in our feedback (colorful yet calm! modern but not too modern!), yet Clara was able to divine from that an aesthetic and furniture plan that really vibed with us. Clara also carefully and patiently worked with us through our evolving attitudes about window treatments (surprisingly technical and expensive!). On top of all that, Clara and her team were always transparent and responsive in their communications. We were never surprised by costs, timing, or any step in the process. Like anything else, there were unexpected hiccups, but Clara was always on top of it, handling issues and helping us think through solutions. I really couldn't be happier with the outcome. Maybe it sounds silly, but the wallpaper in my bathroom brings me so much unexpected joy every day. I would highly recommend Banner Day to anyone.

We hired Clara to help with the renovation of our corporate headquarter in Berkeley when we first acquired the space. As a design studio, we had high expectations for the aesthetics of our new space, but at the same time, a relatively tight budget to work with. We are so lucky that she was willing to take on the challenge. Clara made the contracting process extremely easy- she was transparent about billing rates, scope and her fee structure, etc. and remained respectful of our budget limits. We never once felt pressured to spend more than what we had in mind. Throughout the project, Clara proved herself to be an excellent communicator, very reliable, and professional. These traits were especially important for a commercial project- Clara played a much bigger role than just being the interior designer. She was hands on with the project management, and also gave us sound advice when we needed to make some difficult decisions. The project got really stressful at one point when our architect went out of contact. When things were not happening on time, she was not afraid to step up and worked diplomatically with the contractor and architect to move the project along. Without her, our project would definitely have dragged on for another few months. More importantly, Clara made it a priority to always maintain clear lines of communication. I could always count on getting a response from her within 24- 48 hours. We were extremely happy with the outcome of the project- Clara truly has a creative mind and great eye for design. Our favorite piece ended up being a custom one that she designed for us and built by our own manufacturer. We have already received so many compliments from corporate clients and partnering artists who visited us during our first month at the space. I am so grateful for everything Clara has done for us. She will definitely be my go-to person for all future projects. Thank you so much!

Clara is a talented designer, responsive communicator, and all around consummate professional. She completely furnished the living room, dining room, and foyer for our new home and the results have been nothing short of spectacular. She took time to understand our style and functional needs, carefully listed to our feedback throughout the process, patiently adapted to the increased project scope that we requested mid-way, and killed it creatively to create the space of your dreams. We absolutely love our new space and can't wait to work with her again on future on projects!

I have particular tastes, strong viewpoints, and a unique working style -- together this made my project a challenge. Clara was up to it. She took the time to learn what mattered to me and what my aesthetic was, she found pieces that both fit my parameters and expanded my sense of what was possible, and deferred to my preferences generally while knowing when to let me know I was going overboard or missing an opportunity. Plus, her ability to work with office staff and the furniture suppliers, so I didn't have to work through that, was a time saver and a life saver. I couldn't be happier with the final result.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Clara. She completely redid our master bedroom and brought together our living room, dining room, and family room with art, some furniture and area rugs. Clara was able to take into consideration the fact that we have a 3 and 1 year old while also making our house sophisticated and calm. She balanced the budget to splurge in the less kid-use pieces - formal dining room, art and our bedroom - and stay reasonable and more durable in the family room that doubles as a play area. We look forward to hiring her again for round 2 when the kids grow up a bit!

Working with Clara on our living room, dining, room, and kitchen has been a dream. Her style and aesthetic along with her patience and flexibility made her an amazing designer- and partner- for our project. Earlier this year, my husband and I moved from an apartment into our first home. We had never hired an interior designer before, but I knew that if left to our own devices, we would probably either never buy anything or end up with a whole bunch of mismatching pieces. I researched many interior designers before deciding on Clara at Banner Day and I'm extremely happy we worked with her! Clara helped us design our living room, dining room, family room, and kitchen. Throughout the process, she was very collaborative, honest, detail oriented, and easy to work with. She was very patient during the initial stages when I couldn't decide what look we were going for, and was great at adapting her recommendations based on feedback. Clara took time to get to know us and our style, and came up with wonderful design plans for each of our rooms. Since I'm a super type A personality, I appreciated having final say in each and every item we decided to purchase. That said, Clara was very honest with me when she disagreed with me, and in hindsight I'm *very* grateful she talked me out of making some really bad design decisions. Clara was also very good at minding our budget by recommending more "economical" furniture choices, or guiding us on which pieces we could save on vs. which were worth the investment. Having an interior designer can seem like a luxury expense, but hiring Clara was worth every penny. We truly love our new living areas, and hope to have her design the rest of our house in the future.

I've been working with Clara on my living/dining area and my guest bedroom in my new place, and I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out. Clara figured out my slightly quirky contemporary modern style after our first meeting and was able to source the perfect furniture and decor while staying within my budget. In terms of working with Clara, she is incredibly communicative - responds to emails immediately (even on vacation) and is incredibly patient even with a flood of questions/requests/changes. She was great about monitoring her hours and sticking to her estimate and the one time she thought she might go over due to additional asks, she let me know. It's been great working with Clara and I'd definitely work with her again!

My husband and I recently moved into our 1,300 sq. foot condo, and spent the first 6 months attempting to furnish/decorate without a clear vision. I finally hired Clara/Banner Day to bring color, flow, and warmth to our home. After my initial meeting with Clara, I had complete confidence she would deliver! She worked within my budget and style, but also found items that were just outside of my comfort zone that turned out to be some of our favorite pieces now! She was amazing to work with too - always responsive and willing to adjust based on our feedback.
